I'm a media academic who was born in Jakarta and raised in Melbourne. I work at Monash University in the School of Media Film and Journalism.

I have a soft spot for North Melbourne, the club formerly known as the Melbourne Heart, and Gamba Osaka. I'm a one eyed Chelsea fan. On any given Sunday during the southern hemisphere winter you might find me in goal or on the wing for the Maribyrnong Swifts who play in the FFV Women's State League 3 and 4.

I started this blog to document my involvement with the AFL Multicultural Program as a Multicultural Community Ambassador. It includes a lot of other stuff too, about football (however you define your code) and culture, and where the two collide.
